Rooms
Both suites currently available are located in The Carriage House, set at a distance from the Main House for complete privacy.
Despite the ruggedness of the surrounding outside, there's no sense in which you're roughing it here: guest rooms are just what you'd expect, and eschew period preciousness in favor of a more contemporary Frette-sheeted look-nothing shockingly avant-garde, just a warm and comfortable décor, with none of the look-don't-touch antique overload on display at many country bed and breakfasts.
Rooms are handsome, in a classic style, yet more luxurious than the Carriage House facade would have you believe. Earth tones are predominant, browns, beiges and creams, with rich wooden armoires alongside feather queen beds, plush oversized furnishings and rustic porous flooring.
Many rooms come with lavish extras like fireplaces and for those of us who need more than a generous bed and bath lounge, there's always the upstairs Carriage House suite, a freestanding open plan residence, with full kitchen, providing everything you need for leisurely longer stays.
